Chapter meetings are the 2nd Saturday of each month and we hold meetings at Perkins Restaurant – at the corner of Platte and Chelton. (We meet in the back room) Breakfast (optional) starts at 8:30am - forks down and chit-chat done please by 9:15am for the start of the meeting. We will go through our agenda and chapter updates (new/old business). --- Please check our Calendar page - some meeting dates have been adjusted to accommodate rides or events that we plan to attend.

Ladies interested in finding out more about Women On Wheels(R) are more than welcome to join us at our next Chapter meeting and get to know the members. Per National's guidelines - We do ask that after attending three MSR chapter events or meetings, that you become a member of our chapter by joining Women On Wheels(R). There are no chapter dues - only annual dues to WOW National. (www.womenonwheels.org) for more info. Our chapter Secretary will have registration forms at all chapter meetings and events. You can also download the form directly from this website! (See the Contact Us Page)

After our meetings, we quite often end up going for a short day ride - weather permitting.

Our 2010 Chapter Calendar will be FULL of rides and social events.

Every year on the first Saturday in October,  we sponsor our Breast Cancer Awareness Ride - where all proceeds are shared equally between the the local affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Network of Strength. In 2009 we raised $12,500 - we had over 320 participants - it was awesome!!!

The last Friday of each month - we have Family Dinner Night. It's a great time for fun and fellowship and we enjoy spending time with our families and friends.

We will have two open house/membership drives scheduled this year and at least one group ride scheduled in each month of riding season - some months we have two or more rides scheduled!! We also participate in many local rides and events to support our friends in other riding groups and clubs.

We have adopted a stretch of road out on Hwy 115 that we clean up twice a year to help KEEP Colorado Beautiful!

We also have adopted a local nursing home and visit them during the summer and at Christmas time - we put on a luau/cookout in the summer and Christmas Crafts, Gifts and Snacks during the Holiday Season.

If you are interested in joining Women on Wheels® and Mountain Shadow Riders - the only dues you pay would be the National Women On Wheels® dues. $30.00 a year - we have no Chapter dues.

If you have any further questions - feel free to email us! Click HERE for a email link to our chapter officers.

Thanks for stopping by our website - we hope to hear from you soon!

Roses are Red - by Dorothy T.

Roses are red
Sunflowers are yellow
We are Red-Hot Mamas
Who refuse to mellow.

Roses are red
Take our wagers
We'll never be old...
Just recycled teenagers.

The Women of Mountain Shadow Riders  -  by Carolee L.
(Published in Women On Wheels National Magazine - April 2005)

We love to ride and have fun
Whether in a group of bikes or maybe just one

We go out in the community
Spreading good cheer
Our membership is growing
Year after year

Some of us are married, some of us are not
We let our husbands & boyfriends ride with us a lot

We don't care what you ride
Or if your bike is old or new
Heck we are happy if you show up
 on four wheels or two.

We are Moms & Daughters
Sisters and Friends
The bonds we build through MSR
Are the kind that never ends

We support each other
Like real sisters would do
We are one big family
Tried and true.

Some of us wear helmets
Some of us don't
We pray for each others safety
But lecture you - We won't.

Some of us ride Harley's
And love the roar of the pipes
Some of us prefer metric
You know - those 'rice burner' types

Together we share
our laughter and tears
We listen to each others
triumphs and fears

Sometimes we go out
And tear up the town
We can be loud and crazy
Not much gets 'us' down

We are just normal gals
Who love the wind in our hair
But the greatest thing about Mountain Shadow Riders is,
About each other - We Care!
